    For arrays, i usually just create an Excel document that i can keep switching to. For flags i use Notepad, and i usually name alterable values.

    If you write them down somewhere, you have to look them up exactly there again. Say "wasting time". I know that you can lose track of it.

    But good code is self-describing. Ask the pros (e.g. my programming teacher).

    Of course you should make some notes. But not what flag 0 down to 31 does.

    I'm not a pro, but actually working in the games industry, and having encountered piles of both good and bad code (and having written some of both), I can vouch for this saying.
