MMF 2 Dev won't start after upgrade to 246

SYStem: Win Xp Pro
program was working fine until i upgraded to 246.

The splash screen would start then the program would just disappear.

Un-installed and re-installed several times.. build 239 won't load and either will 246

HELP!

Do I need to clear registry settings?

hum.. shouldn't this be posted in the build's thread? Try the 247 and see if it works.

Try holding ctrl+shift when you load it, as this should cause a settings reset.

This is very odd (btw didn't you receive my e-mail? I've answered the e-mail you sent to the support).

After uninstalling, things must remain in the MMF2 directory (3rd party extensions, etc). Rename the MMF2 directory to something else and reinstall it. If that fixes the problem, then maybe this issue is caused by an extension (this shouldn't be the case though, MMF2 is protected against crashes in extensions at start). If that works, copy the extensions that you had installed and try to see the one that is causing the problem.

But I think it's probably due to something else (corrupted registry maybe? I think there are tools that allow you to fix a corrupted registry).

i did not get your reply email.

I tried it all(even a registry cleaner) and still the software will not load... the splash screen starts and stop on kcqtw3 extension. Are there any registry settings I could delete and re-install

Uninstall MMF2 and delete the following keys :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clickteam\Multimedia Fusion Developer 2
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Clickteam\Multimedia Fusion Developer 2

Hopefully that works. I've checked your serial number, it's OK, there is no typo in it and I've successfully installed MMF2 and the patch with it on my machine, both versions work fine. I don't see at all what could be wrong...

Maybe an issue with Quicktime? Could be worth removing the extension.

Hmm... something to check...

In the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clickteam\Multimedia Fusion Developer 2\Settings key, look at the ProPath value, it contains the install directory. If the name of this install directory ends with a '\', remove it (I think that was causing a problem with old versions but I don't remember very well - it should work with new versions though).
