    Re: Vitalize! Logo

The user on the other end is the issue.

I thought everyone wanted Vitalize! to grow and be more popular? If so, then product recognition and trust is the most important factor, not customized logos.

So, if everyone uses their own choice in logo, then the user goes, well then, which version of Vitalize! IS THIS ONE? They may not stop to think that the plug-in is the actual version itself. "Is this some sort of hack? That's not the log I usually see!" is another potential reaction. Something different or unusual will get noticed, that's for sure -- in a possibly negative way.

Best thing is not to confuse the users or require a change to the usage agreement to reflect the fact that there is one, official logo for the product that can be used to represent it in a game or applicaiton, I think.

BTW: I think some of the offerings here at least reflected some creativity and good artwork, for what it's worth.

Agreed. Let's settle on one official logo.

    Re: Vitalize! Logo

I agree also in every word with what Novabrain says. I do think the product needs a better presentation, but defently not "some customized" logo. I wouldn't say my logo is the way to go, its just an idea that kinda unleashed what now looks like a logo competition. Sorry about that. Still i think my arguments are valid, we need a logo that tells and presents more then the current 2 and the rest that is posted.

    Re: Vitalize! Logo

Weren't people able to make their own loading screens in Vitalize 3 though? I mean the initial logo still showed up, but custom loading screens were still available.

Clickteam made a point to say that no functionality would be LOST in Vitalize 4, so unless they are stripping this feature off the list, I don't see why anyone is even mentioning it in detail.

you still can, the loading images (although from a network server connection, it seems to have slowed down loading it since V3) or you can download a .ccn using the vitalize! object and show how long it will take

    Re: Vitalize! Logo

qool. so we could have html page load a javascript that writes and loads a vitalize object that loads another vitalize object to show a loadings screen while loading your game who on itself may include yet another loading screen as it downloads remote content. Loading maddnesszorz! I demand intergration! :-P

    Re: Vitalize! Logo

I understand that we need to spread advertising, but let users have a choice! Example, choose between loadingbar and logo. Or when you right click it comes up a menu with the vitalize info.

Another choice could be that you could buy a license to erase the logo.

    Re: Vitalize! Logo

You can make a license just like selling games for MMF, that makes it so that people are required to place an official logo somewhere in the game, preferably the credits.

no, the logo is fine. And a right click would destroy vitalize! look at flash, thats advertisted when you right click and the menu has to make it the worst web dev tool around... well useful for turning ad settings to low quality
