[Bug] Properties without Size / Position tab

CLick somewhere in the frame editor so that nothing is selected. Now click at one of the objects in the Objects list at the right to get its properties. Doesn't work.

You have to choose "Properties" from its menu now. Do so. Select objects properties from within the objects list by rigth clicking at an object, then choose properties.

Okay, here they come. But just partially. Try to set its Position and dimension now ...

    Build 247

This is normal. It's due to the fact that the size & position properties are associated with the instance of the objects on the playfield, not with the object itself.

Well, click at an object in the frame. Then click at an active in the objects list ...

That way you can have the size/position tab by clicking at an object in the object list. Even with more instances as you can see here

Re: [Bug] Properties without Size / Position tab

By the way, isn't the fact that you need to click at an object in the frame first so that a click at an object in the object list brings up its properties another bug?

That's because selecting the object in the Object List selects all its instances in the playfield and displays the properties of all these instances.

    Cannot reproduce. Works fine here.

Re: [Bug] Properties without Size / Position tab

That's because selecting the object in the Object List selects all its instances in the playfield and displays the properties of all these instances.
But i do the same with choosing the "properties" item from the right click menu. It's just in one case i click at the object directly and in the other case i select it through its right click menu. In both cases in the object list. In both cases there is more than one instance.

    Cannot reproduce. Works fine here.
Select an object, then click somewhere in an empty space in the frame editor. So that no object is selected now. Properties gets blanked, right? Now click at the object in the object list again. Properties stays blanked, and doesn't show the properties as it would when you had another object selected before.

And now you need the right click menu to get to the properties of the object. That's how i stumbled across the size/position tab issue

Hm, i have the strange feeling that we misunderstood us here. Give me a few moments. I will make a short movie about this issues ...

Re: [Bug] Properties without Size / Position tab

This bug only occurs if the object in the list is grayed out (like in the third picture from above).
And it 'works' with any object, not just those who are duplicated:

1 - click a object in the list: now its selected blue and the properties appearing.
2 - click in the frame: now the object in the list is grayed and the properies vanish.
3 - click again on the object: its selected blue again, but now no properties appear.

If you really deselect all objects (with no more gray rectangles), all works fine and the properties are displayed.
