Question about Java support in MMF2

Whats special about Build #248, well it includes a feature that can save Java applets for TGF2/MMF2 and as well as the ability to save as Java applications for MMF2 Dev.
I would like to be able to use the Java runtime to make standalone games for people running Linux or OSX, instead of forcing people to use a web browser every time they want to play. However, I cannot afford MMF2 Developer, it is extremely expensive. Will people be able to make standalone Java applications with MMF2 Standard when Build #248 comes out of Beta? Or, how can I get MMF2 Developer without having to pay US$300?

If you already own MMF2 Standard you can upgrade to the Developer version for a reduced price (it should be much the same as the difference between the prices of Standard and Developer).

Fill out the form at http://www.clickteam.com/eng/upgrade.php to request a discount.

And the email is not showing up. Also, the only reason I could afford Standard was because I got a $30 discount with my old copy of TGF Home. If it costs over $100 to upgrade to Developer, I can't afford it. And if I only get one request, and it either expires or the email never arrives, well that's not cool at all.

And you didn't answer my question about standalone Java applications in MMF2 Standard.

Re: Question about Java support in MMF2

It's those small things that makes the money I paid worth it. These are the options that Clickteam need to make DEV only to get more people upgrading into developer so that they get a better income and this way, can make more extensions and upgrades bla bla bla.

What I'm saying is, they're sorta forced to make small important things developer only, yet make it possible for the standards to freely create games and applications.

I'm afraid there's nothing to do about it then, Clickteam can't make a solo exception just because you don't have the money to upgrade, or make the java applications for standard just because you can't afford developer.

Let me just unlock this a moment to add - the discount requests don't expire (at least, they shouldn't) and if you haven't received an email back, something must have gone wrong. Perhaps contact Jeff or JasonDarby directly.
