    Graphical "leftovers" on object destruction

    Hi,

I am new to MMF (purchased MMF2 Developer) to make a Breakout-style game. I am having a couple of issues:

    (1) When blocks are destroyed, sometimes there are leftover artifacts (a line along the left, right, top or bottom of the graphic remains). It didn't used to do this, but I can't say exactly at what point this started happening. Definitely before I started doing anything "fancy" like the particle effect or the shrapnel, though. Here is a link to my .mfa file if anyone wants to take a look: http://www.mediafire.com/?cigdn1vmh19

    (2) I am using the current graphics as placeholders & will be creating my own. I don't see how to swap out the original one for the new one without reprogramming the all the events associated with the object. Is there a way to do this?

    I hope this makes sense.

    (2) Add the new object to the Frame Editor and make sure it has exactly the same anims and settings like it's placeholder.

Enter the Event Editor and right-click the icon of the placeholder, then you'll notice a replace option, which allows switching all events from one object to an other.

    Confirmed. Thats weird.
Its not the particle object nor the disappearing animation.
    Clickteam should have a look.

JoKa: Thanks so much! That really helps me out & will save me a lot of time

Thanks for taking a look, guys. Is there a proper procedure for requesting that Clickteam take a look as well?

    I dont think so.

I get this problem too at the moment, won't happen with HWA though... Should still be fixed though.

Yes, especially since, while I love the idea of HWA, I'm sure it won't be available for Java, which I plan to use for online games.

Anyone at Clickteam seeing this thread? If this is a bug, it's a significant one--obviously I could never release anything that behaves this way.
