    recording onscreen action perfectly

I'm currently using MMF2 to make animations I want to post on YouTube. I have some animations that move very fast, and it's important that all frames are recorded. I have the Camtista lossless codec, but it still misses some frames when I record MMF2. Anyone know of a solution? Is there a better way to do this? I have asked this before, but I couldn't find the old topic.

Try downloading a free product called Jing - It saves the output to flash files however so I'm not sure that's what you're looking for but its very smooth at capturing output.

I too have used Camtasia, but for free you cant quite beat Jing :P

Tried Jing, it's not quite what I'm looking for. Thanks though.

Maybe you could slow down the animation speed then speed it up in some software?

Or set the FPS to the half, and then when the movie is recorded, speed it up to 200%?

You could use the Screen Capture object to take a picture of the entire frame each frame. That way you don't miss a single frame or record more identical frames. You just have to record the sound separately/manually and find a tool that can merge all bitmaps the Screen Capture object creates into one .avi file for example.

That shouldn't be a problem, the two body chunk's in AVI are mp3 and mpeg1 orrrrrr gif(weird huh?).

Do you know of any such merging software? I wouldn't know how to find this in Google...

you need a film strip to clip(i think it's called). that will make a gif or mpeg then you put it in to an editing(film editing) program, over lay the sound and export it.

    (i know it's a bit troublesome)

    You could try CamStudio.
    http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/CamStudio-freeware-Windows-Free-video-screen-capture-software-supporting-audio-recording.htm
It´s a pretty nice, free video capture app. I don´t know how fast it is but it´s free so you have very little to lose.
