    Sub-application

I have aprobelm with the sub application extension,

I need to know weather the sub appli can load CCN file.
It can only load itself but i want it to load other games as well?

I have use the common dialog object so you can load an application and when you have selected your choice it runs but it comes with the erro not and application file. What IS an application file?

This may not make sense, sorry!

CCN files are Vitalise files and yes, SubApplications do work with these. Not sure why you are getting this error message?!? Are you loading a CCN file?

    Re: Sub-application

Yep, but the thing that makes my brain explode is that it CAN load the CCN file of itself (the own applet) but when i try to load a diffrent game like my oporation Z i does not load and says it is NOT an application file.

    Re: Sub-application

Does this only happen with Operation Z? Do all other CCN files load fine? If so, try resaving Operation Z as a CCN file to see if that fixes the problem.

If not, then check to see if you already have a CCN file loaded, can you load a different CCN file (not Operation Z) and have it work ok.

Let me know how things turn out.

    Re: Sub-application

Maybe Operation Z used extensions not in the loader, the loader needs the extensions in the frame that Operation Z uses

    Re: Sub-application

Nope, no diffrent, it can only load the CNN file of itself (it can only load the same application of itself). I have no idea why it is doing this because i think it should be able to load other CNN files? I also put in the extensions but still dident work?

What do you mean it can only load the CCN file of itself?

    Re: Sub-application

Well the application is called winding. I have made a CCN file of the winding application called winding. Now, i CAN load the winding CCN file but that is the only one it can load, it can not load any other kind on CCN file.

    Re: Sub-application

Oh, imagine that... A SubApp that loads a SubApp of itself that loads a SubApp of itself that loads a SubApp of itself that loads...

I'm afraid I'm stumped but if you want to email me on the raw MMF 2 file, I'll happily take a look at it for you. Email pkb@iol.ie
