    Smooth Scrolling for jamesponds (or anyone!)

    Mine makes it scroll in front of you so you can see where you're going.

    If you just have it start centering to the spot in front of you instantly, it gets really jerky.

    p.s. for the previous example you need to give it a number b4 it works properly.

    Not really. In that example, when you switch directions, it's really jerky. You'd be suprised at how difficult that makes a game. Not to mention that method has no variation depending on how fast you are going. So if you're going really fast, the camera still trails behind.

    Anyone keeping score... again? lol!

    Then just increase the mean entities to 5/1 or something, it has materially no limit.

    But the problem is that no matter what, it's speed is instantly changing. My way is much smoother, there's no jerky snappy movements in it.

    I think SEELE's is better, it is less jerky and moves better. Also, it is a lot easier.

    What? His doesn't even move ahead of the player enough for it to be worth anything! And his IS jerkier than mine!

    Then just move the action point further, the important thing is; functionality and simplicity.
