    Two Questions; Mouse hiding + Top-down rain.

    Hey guys, two questions;

    - In the game I'm working on, I have two frames with 'hide mouse cursor' at 'start of frame,' but when I jump between the two frames, the mouse cursor winks visible for an instant. Any way to completely get rid of the cursor, even when jumping between frames?

    - Anybody have any experience with making a rain effect for a top-down game? I'm at a loss for how to go about it.

    Thanks very much! 'Appreciate the help.

    You shouldn't need to hide the mouse on both frames. The mouse stays hidden.

    I wish that were the case. I wouldn't need to ask you guys about it. :whistle:

    I'm afraid it may have something to do with my game having an object with 'mouse controlled' movement.

    Try doing 'always->hide mouse pointer' in global events.

    With this condition as a global event, I have had the windows mouse appear for a moment while a level is loading.

    And for top down rain:

    You might consider rain falling at an angle. Use a motion blur filter in Photoshop on some small white/grey shapes (with plenty of background/transparent colour). In MMF, tile objects over a layer and bring to front. Animate several motion-blurred frames at a speed that gives the impression of rain. I think that it's more important to create an impression rather than overload your level with active objects, though.
