    Music help

    Hey everyone.

I'm trying to put music into my game and i have the files, but they are in MP3 format. To play it as music it needs to be a midi file and to get a program that converts it into that cost money =(

I can convert them to wave then play as a sample file but it takes up allot of space.

So is there any way for the game to play music and not take up allot of room?

    Help is very much appreciated.

    Dylan

    try something like

    http://www.ogg-mp3.net/

and convert your mp3 to ogg, which is a free format and supported by MMF2.

Thanks for the fast reply, is it normal for after the encoding the file to still be the same size?

well ogg and mp3 are similar, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorbis

for details, the bottomline is: ogg is free and has the same quality / size

    Re: Music help

Use the direct show object and load the mp3 and hide it somewhere in the frame.
