    Beta: Joystick object 2

Here is a new totally rewritten Joystick object, only using DirectInput. A few new things added, like to get the name of the device and full force feedback ability.

There are several easy to use force feedback presets, but also the possibility to create custom forces. Note: When you create a custom force you "add" a force to any previous force with same ID. That means that you can create combined forces.
Ie: You create a force with ID "MyForce". If you create a new custom force with the same ID, it's added to the previous one and then you play "MyForce" both are played.
Predefined forces can't be added by design.

To create custom forces, I would recommend this program to test different parameters easily:
    Immersion Studio

    Notes:
I'm trying to make the test if the joystick is attached faster, but that's the only problem I know of. Please tell me if you find any else bugs or have any suggestions.

Very nice work, but i don't get the force feedback working.
(Yes, my controller (XBox360) supports force feedback)
Could you help me with that? (Tried your example, too)

Nope, doesn't work with xbox controls.. Maybe I implement that later on, but have non to test with, since it's a different API than "normal" force feedback controls.

    Oh, okay.
Would be nice if you would add it, though.
    Looking forward to new builds

    Yes, everything's fine.
X,Y,Z,X rot,Y rot (yay, was waiting for them, too)
By the way, what's that 'Slider'? That condition says my controller has a Slider, but I can't figure out what it is.

By the way, the JoyDeg and JoyDistance expressions are very handy, too. Thanks for this great update

It might determine incorrectly the slider with the xbox control. I'll check it out.

    Re: Beta: Joystick object 2

Maybe this is a dumb question, maybe I should already know... but I was experimenting with the analog object which works awesome with Xbox360 controllers, but it only grabs the input of the left stick and not the right. I was just wondering if there is anyway to get MMF2 to support the other control stick?

If you test the different axes, what axis responds to the right stick?

    Re: Beta: Joystick object 2

Unfortunately different PC controllers tend to have different axis bound to the right stick and any analog buttons, which is a real bitch for developers.

This is one of the many reasons why Microsoft have done their 'Games For Windows' thing where all games and any controllers designed for them are encouraged to be based around the Xbox 360 controller layout and axis.

Great extension, though been dying for force feedback!

Would be nice if the "Warning, this is the BETA version" popup message didn't have to come up every time, though...
