    Forum to post bugs?

    Hi everyone!

    I converted a level of a game I did for the old vitalized "Arcade" (i think it was the old nmxt server in year 2000) and I make it work after several workarounds (get rid of extra frames, sounds, extensions, etc.);

    http://giovanni.ipresent2u.com/rbert.htm

    I have a list of issues I found (you can see that quickbackdrops have wrong tile offsets and no transparency)

    Is there a beta forum where we can post our findings? (like we did with the Jamagic beta) also to know if the issue was already posted so we dont have to bother Francois with known issues, etc.

    Thanks!

    BTW, this Java runtime is VERY EXCITING! Thank ClickTeam !!!!

    This is the area to post your java bugs. Transparency is a known issue, and I'm not sure if the backdrop bug has been reported yet.

    Yes, transparency in quick backdrop object has been corrected for rectangular shapes (it is impossible to correct for round shapes).
    Please post a list of your problems here.

    Wait, transparency isn't fixable? I was just about to post and ask why none of the active objects or backdrops in my game have transparency!

    Do you have the latest beta?
    I believe Transparency works fine with active objects.

    There is just some problem with Quick Backdrops and maybe regular backdrops.

    If no active objects in your game have transparency, it's likely that you're on Java 5 and not Java 6.

    Re: Forum to post bugs?

    Hello Francois;

    I have issues with;
    *Quick backdrop tile offsets
    *Games with midi files
    *Games with multiple frames
    *Some background color combinations

    Please let me know if these are known/reported issues to you. If not, I'll provide some examples
    (you can see the quickbackdrop offset problem in my example provided in the previous message)

    Im downloaded the latest Java Runtime.

    Francois; did you played with the idea of developing a runtime for .NET CLR too?

    Re: Forum to post bugs?

    Can you explain more :

    Quick backdrop with tile offset. What offset?
    Midi files : they should work file. Do they work in the Windows runtime.
    Multiple frames : what is happening? I can ensure you that multiple frames DO work.
    Some back color combination : can you be more precise?

    You have to give me more info, PLease make a demo application with all the problems and send it to me.

    PS : you are using Java 6 and not Java 5 aren't you?

    Re: Forum to post bugs?

    Sorry for the missunderstanding.

    Ok, one issue at a time, first, the QuickBackdrop tile offsets problem,... take a look a this screenshot:
    [image]http://giovanni.cardona.com/gpx/qbert1.gif[/image]

    You can see that the tile image is shifted.

    I am using latest java runtime (6).

    Will prepare an example of the other issues when I get home

    Thank you!

    Issue #2: Background color problem... unveiled!

    Francois, I was able to reproduce the background color problem:
    [image]http://giovanni.cardona.com/gpx/BGCOLORerror.gif[/image]

    I created a 32768 empty application, changed the background color to #0080c0, then, the java mfa runtime shifted the Red with the Blue register to #c08000

    I will work with the Sound problems this weekend.
