Can I use a PS/2 to USB adapter for Joystick

My understanding of Joysticks is small.

There is a joystick made used by V-Tech (click here to see it) .

I'd like to use two of these for a game I'm making for kids.

Assuming it's a PS/2 connector (which I believe it is), does anyone know if there's a chance I could use a P2/2 to USB adapter (like this one) to connect each joystick to the computer and have it work?

    Thanks.

As long as Windows recognizes it as a joystick, MMF2 will be able to get its input. If you can connect it up through a PS/2 to USB adapter, you're most likely going to need a driver for it - I haven't found one on a quick Google search, but there may be one.

It says "For use with the V.Smile TV Learning System". Chances are, it's a non-standard plug and you won't be able to plug it in to a pc at all. Or, it'll be a standard plug with non-standard wiring or non-standard protocol.

    After all, PS/2 isn't a joystick plug/socket.

    Making a Driver for a Joystick... $$$

I just went on a hunt for a V.smile Joystick driver. Not looking good.

One person had requested a driver, but no response was posted in the year and a half since it's creation.

Is CREATING A DRIVER something programmers on in this forum can do(for money)?

It's such a cool kid-friendly joystick. Wish it wasn't locked to it's own hardware.
