artician: Joystick 1 is an alternative if you don't need force feedback. It uses windows own joystick functions and should always work. Can't test on XP 64, but I'll talk to Yves and see if he has any ideas.

Koji_Kabuto: Are you saying that it works or not? Didn't catch that.

Which build version of MMF do you use? It needs v243 or higher

    Re: Joystick2 z33z extension

Sorry, I was a bit confused. The Answer to my question is right here in this thread!

    But one question left:
What happens if the users computer don't have the correct DirectX installed?
Does the whole application don't start like at some other extensions?

Yes that's correct. If they've got an old version of directX, the application won't start. Maybe I can change it so that only Xbox force feedback won't work if they've got and old DX version.

Yes, maybe this would be the best solution.
So we can display an own error message and the user is able to use other joysticks.

    Re: Joystick2 z33z extension

I never got this to work on my MMF2 install. I ended up simply using the Joypad extension (didn't know it offered what I was looking for until z33z mentioned it).

I wanted to ask - Can I employ conditions that use [u]both/u] the Joypad input as well as the default Player 1 Joystick input? Some of my events don't work when using the same state in Joypad as they did in the Joystick input.

Plus, in Joypad I can't find the equivalent of "No joystick action", and states that differentiate between "Joystick is moved Top", and "Repeat while Joystick is moved Top".

    Thanks.

Yes you can combine MMF built in joystick conditions and joypad object conditions if you for example wanted to combine MMF "Repeat while Joystick is moved Top" and Joypad object "Button X pressed".
