    Editors and their Windowed/Maximized status

Build 248. When i open my app and click at a frame the frame appears in windowed status. No matter if i have left him in maximized status. I always have to maximize it first. Not sure if it is a bug or if it is this way for a long time. Anyway.

I know, it is always just one click, but could we please have the Event Editor/Frame Editor/ Event List Editor remembering their state? MMF 1.5 does. When you leave an app here maximized and reopen it the frame starts maximized too. You don't even need to open it.

Re: Editors and their Windowed/Maximized status

Under Tools - Preferences - Workspace

There is a general section with "save dialog boxes size and position"

This saves the boxes size for me.
Unless it seems I have one minimized but if I have it maximized or set to a specific size it seems to be remembered.

I have my editors maximized and as I jump from frame to event editors they are also maximized so I don't understand whats happening to you.

Well, "save dialog boxes size and position" is of course ticked. Was the first thing i checked

Curious enough it stopped the strange behaviour before a few moments when i tried to make a movie from it for this answer, heh. I dragged the line between workspace toolbar and frame editor. Now it opens the frames maximized. By the way, now it opens all frames maximized. Even when i have left it in windowed mode. Really strange this.

Re: Editors and their Windowed/Maximized status

It is back. No matter what i try, the window starts windowed. And this time i was able to record it. Flashfile is 560 Kb:

    http://reinerstileset.4players.de/ext/sizenposition.swf

EDIT: and i think i got it now. I have maximized the window, then closed the window, reopened the window again, then i saved it. And whoosh, now it is starting maximized again.

It seems that MMF doesn't recognize and save the current state the first time. Which means when you maximize it and it was windowed before it starts windowed again. You have to repeat the procedure, maximize, close Frame, open Frame, and with that MMF saves the state finally.

No wonder this bug is hard to catch. Normally you work in one state all the time. Maximized for example

Close the editor once it's maximized, its status will be saved. Apparently it's saved only when you close the editor, not when you close MMF.

    Thanks

Hmm, shouldn't MMF save the state when the state changes? Why do i need to close the frame ?
