Re: Have used the Java beta on my new website

Okay, sorry about the long wait there. Turns out I wasn't able to get home until today. And then I had to do some beta testing... Wew.

Anyway, here is the .mfa file.

    www.geothefaust.com/MMF/gallery_01.mfa

I did some checking today as well. I deleted all the items, one at a time to narrow it down. It seems it is my main "viewer" active object. I checked out all the events and graphics, and pretty much every setting I could think of. But couldn't narrow it down further. I hope this helps.

    Thank you Francois.

Your transparency events don't show correctly on my comp. If I try to run the app it crashes. If I delete the Thumbnail "Art" Transparency group however, it works. So try changing the way you've got that setup.

Cool. Will do Steve. Thanks for taking a look at it. I'll hopefully have an update tomorrow.

Well it seems to work deleting that group of events and compiles nicely with out it. I suppose I can use it with out all the transparency, though it was much spiffier with it.

Active object transparencies don't work in the current build of Java anyways

Doh... Well that's nice to know for future reference, at least with this build. Perhaps with the next or later builds will support it?

Thanks again Steven, I'm happy now that I can upload my galleries to my site. I really appreciate it.

PS - How is the launch of your password manager going?

No sales yet! But it's still early days and it's just starting to get on lots of websites around the web. A Polish mag wants me allow them to put the full version on their cover disk for free and they'll do a write-up on it and feature some of my other stuff too. So might do that.

No, setting the transparency of the objects in the events will never work in Java. You juyst do not have the functions for.
But you can create your objects with a complete alpha channel, and the semi transparence will be displayed accordingly.

When viewing your website from a mac, everything works fine!

    Good job!
