    Re: [REQUEST] Drop Shadowing

    I'm not sure that I'd want things like drop shadows built-in.
    I prefer to do that myself so that I have complete control over it.
    If it was there, I'd use it (if it was done well enough), but I imagine there are more important things to be worked on.

    Not that many extra steps really.
    Using Photoshop:

    --> Create Shape/Text.
    --> Duplicate Layer, add full black Colour Overlay, and Gaussian Blur of 5.0
    --> Save Image.png and shadow.png
    --> Offset shadow behind image in MMF2.

    Re: [REQUEST] Drop Shadowing

    This idea wasn't intended strictly for text... and Novabrain is quite correct, drop shadows for text do make the text stand out and more readable.

    I'm a graphics designer myself, and yes, creating the drop shadows isn't that tough... I see your point that it's only a matter of adding the shadow as a second object and positioning it adjacent to the active.

    and so, that's how I'll handle shadowing for my purposes in MMF2...

    Thanks!

    Maybe with HWA, they'll eventually get around to adding it to MMF2 (or MMF3?).
    If they could match the quality we can get from designing them graphically, I'd use it.
