    re: are SubApps 'vitalized'?

when you save an mfa and use it as a subapp in another mmf app, MMF converts it to a .ccn... does this mean that it has been 'vitalized'?

External sub apps also use the ccn file format.

Keep in mind that you can't build a vitalize application (.ccn) and then load it into a subapp. You will need MMF to convert a .mfa by using the method ClickerGuy mentions.

So there is some difference between saving a project as .ccn and having MMF generate your .ccn for you.

I tested this... But I've seen no difference. MMF use both ccn "types" here.
Or you can describe it more precisely?

    Certainly...
Lets say I build a small vitalize application in MMF. I would save my project as an internet application and it would be saved as an .ccn file.

Now say I'm working on a stand alone game, and I decide to have my previously saved vitalize game included in a sub-application.
You would obviously select "other application" in the subapp object and then select your .ccn from somewhere on you harddisk. This does not work for me. It gives an "This is not an application file!" error.

Instead you will need to select the .mfa of the vitalize game you want included. MMF will prompt you and ask to build as a .ccn file. which it then loads into a the subapp. This is the only way that seems to work.

Ah yes ... MMF wants the mfa file to be there in the same directory if I choose the ccn directly. Otherwise MMF don't read the ccn. Or you choose the mfa file like you said.

Yeah exactly, I do wonder why that is. You would think the .ccn would be enough?

Yeah, I think it it re-compiles the ccn file when ya modify the .mfa...

in my experience, You don't need the .mfa in the folder when you release your finished app - only as you are developing it...
