[Bug] Failed to Save Document Error

I think there is a bug in MMF, where I would be working in the event editor, and try to save. It says "Failed to save document" no matter where I save the file to, or what filename I give it.

Maybe there should be a fix in the next build?

The developers can't do anything based on just the information that a document sometimes fails to save. There are any number of things that can cause this, and if you can narrow down at all what you were doing before the application failed to save so they have some idea of what state it was in when the save failure happened, that would help them narrow it down.

Re: [Bug] Failed to Save Document Error

Well, the program deleted my project file when I tried to overwrite it... Now I have to start all over again...

Well, I was just using the Event Editor, used ctrl-save to save my document. That's when it gave me the error. I tried using Save As to overwrite the project file as well, and it gave the error, and crashed. My computer does not have viruses, I've already checked.

Re: [Bug] Failed to Save Document Error

I've had a similar error, saying "Document not found" while trying to save the file.
This was caused by the security program Threatfire i had installed before.
It hooks between Windows and other programs to capture, among other things, hdd-write and read events.
After uninstalling Threatfire the files could be saved correctly.
You should check if there is running a Antivirus software who could interfere the saving process.

    edit
And like DanielRehn said, use the autosave function from mmf.

I've run into the bug a few times, but I always have a backup.. Also if you run into the error, use save as and save it to a completly new file (don't try to overwrite the old one, probably wont work and results in a crash)... works 95% of the time for me!
