Top left doesn't work... new keyboard or MMF2 bug?

I'm using standard 8-direction movement, but for some reason I can't move diagonally up-left. I can move up, and I can move left, but the diagonal doesn't work if I'm holding down another key before I press it... I know it's not an issue that some old keyboards had of handling more than 2 inputs, because all the other diagonals work. I know I haven't accidentally removed up-left in the movement properties, because I've checked it.

Also, if I'm holding down down top-right without holding another key first, I can move in that direction, but I'm unable to use any other inputs.

That's not an MMF2 bug. Cheaper keyboards use a matrix of key switces that only works as long as a limited number of keys is held down simultanely. There are expensive keyboards that scan each key independently, to ensure that all keystrokes are registered no matter how many you hold at the same time.

What keys that can be pressed at the same time differs, some keys have higher priority than others... My keyboard mainly have problems with Up+Left+something else.

Try hooking up a friend's keyboard, or any spare one you have around. That'll tell you where the problem lies.
It probably is your keyboard though, as everyone else has suggested.

My old keyboard had Up+Left+(any trigger) problems, too. I eventually redefined everything that would let me to use IKJL instead. It just depends on the keyboard's internal layout.

Based on his explanation in the first post, I think this is an obvious keyboard issue that doesn't even need to be confirmed further.

The thing I'd like to know though; does it happen with up+left+any other key, or only with up+left+some specific keys? On my keyboard for example, up+left+q/w/e/r/t/y/u/i/o/p/a/s/d/f/j/k/l/z/x/c/v/m works fine but up+left+b/n/g/h does not.

I personally recommend the arrows + qweasd keyboard configuration. Avoid Shift/Ctrl because of 'sticky keys' which a lot of computer beginners can't figure out how to disable. Avoid Z, because of German qwertz keyboards, or assign the same function to both the Z and Y keys.
