Yes lately they have been offline but usually they are up.

You can always host your own MooServer.

I would recommend the Java one at www.gwerdy.com over building it in MMF. The Java one is very small, fast and stable.

    Re: Moo Servers

Firstly you need a PC that is always on (if you want to connect to one all the time which is your primary complaint with the public ones). Then download the Java Mooserver from gwerdy.com and then just run the executable Jar.

Then you can just connect to your IP address from an MMF2 app and use it as you always would.

    Re: Moo Servers

    Hello ,

    Simple question about the gwerdy-server:

If I run the bat-file and run my chat-tool and enter "localhost" it works fine. But if I enter my IP, the chat doesn't connect. Is it possible to runs both programs (server and client) on one home-computer?

    Thank you
    Regards Peter

Its been a long time since a ran a server on my localhost but I believe you can't connect to your own IP address.

So you would need 2 clients -- one with "localhost" for you and one with the IP for everyone else.

    Re: Moo Servers

I'm having this exact same problem. I thought the solution was to forward port 1203 (or whatever port you use) on my router, but that didn't seem to work...

    Re: Moo Servers

Port forwarding isnt enough, you will have to make sure your service provider isn't blocking and you have to allow port triggering and allow the app with whatever local firewall software solution you have on your computer.

You will know your routing is ok as you will be able to connect to the server using your internet IP address as well as your local one.
This means anyone can connect you your server.
If you have broardband your output is going to be about under a quater what your input is.
