    True, but consider Parallaxing. One will defend to the death, saying that parallaxing is only possible in a 3D environment. However we use that term to describe "depth" in background layers, in 2D games.

    From the looks of it, this pixel shader allows you to make glows within the object, but it doesn't bloom outside of the object. You really can't call it blooming, without that.

    i think you're supposed to use that shader on layers

    i don't have any good images to test that with, though

    EDIT: ...or i could use the first image in the first post

    This is nice. However, maybe you could add a "Bleed" pixelshader or something, as to allow us to do something to the effect of, glow around the object, however... the glow should be the same color as the surrounding pixels. Rather then making up your own glow color.
