POPUP MENU object alternative?

The problem with the POPUP MENU OBJECT is that it pauses the whole app while its active, is there any alternatives or maybe a workaround?

There is the MessageBox Object. And when this doesn't fit neither: build your own Popup Menu: Use a Subapp

yeh i thought about that and startng having a go at it 15 mins ago

there's a "Run while resizing" checkbox in the application properties that allows the app to run when you have a menu open

problem is, it drops your framerate a lot when menu is open... so in the end, a subapp might be a better choice
