Icon view? Anyone had success with "adding" images

HI, Im trying to add external images to the icon view object, but having no luck what so ever!

Ive simply made a simple app, with a button, ative picture and icon view.

And when you click the button, it lets you select an image, i have one the same size as the iconviews set size, so 30x30px. When the picture loads, it adds that picture into the iconview's image list, and then adds icon 0 (0 based) to the list wit a lable.

The label appears and very small line above it (taken fro mthe icon i added by the looks of it)

Why is the image not appearing?

    Thanks
    Andy

the icons sizes are 32x32 or 16x16 not 30x30. That's why there's some glitches.

?? Doesnt it give you the option to do so? It lets you enter the width and the height is what ever the height is of the image?

If i add them normally (not externally at runtime) at 30x30 or any size, then there fine?

    Cheers
    Andy

This got me for a while... i think your first image actually becomes 6 and your next 7.8.9... this is because it likes to keep it's default ones at the same time.

No, it doesn't work that way. I happen to work on icons and such for now and windows has fixed formats/sizes voor icons, they are 256(vista only)48,32,16. If you wanna go save for vista and xp, make icons 32 x 32 or 16 x 16.

    SEELE:
Ive just had a play with that but still no luck? Maybe if you have a working example you could upload it? Thanks

    Tourmaline:
Not sure if your mistaken but im not actually refering to "icons" but the iconview object, where you can just have images in the list, at what ever size you set it at.

    Thanks

In my version of the icon view object there is a checkbox for 32 x 32 images.

    SEELE:
Cheers for that but what im trying to do is simular but instead of icons from apps, but just single bmp files using the "add BMP file to image list"

Have you had any luck with that?

    Thanks again

I don't mind helping, but surly you could have this out from my previous example.
