    Naughty Animation object

I have some problems with the most plain Animation object, it just wants to disappear or not play, or scrolls weirdly no matter what. I made a few videos, the framerate at which the aggregator plays them isn't really good but you'll get the idea.

    Example 1
This is the most normal animation object that I move with the cursor keys. You can see that parts of it disappear when I start to move it (especially bad when I move it down) - I tried it with tons of combinations, Follow the frame on/off etc but no luck. Also except for the object itself, there's nothing in the frame so I'm pretty sure it's the anim object that doesn't behave properly.

    Example 2
I have a static anim object (a pulsating "heart" sign) that just gets all funny when an active object walks under it. Also the animation doesn't play although I marked it as "loop"...

    Example 3
Same as the previous one, only this time it has "follow the frame" turned on... only it does so backwards? Looks like it moves away from the player.

Another thing is, if I use the same animation file as Active object it plays normally and generally behaves as expected so the file itself works (and also I can open it in all other software no problem) so this is ruled out.

Am I discovering something that was already debated to death? Am I doing something wrong?

    Re: Naughty Animation object

I had a lot of problems with the animation object, both position, and scrolling related ones, as well as weird graphical bugs. That was in build 247. I got the impression that it was one of those objects you don't really use, that only exists for backwards compatibility. I haven't tried with build 248 though.

I thought the latest build was 247 and 248/249 are the HWA and Java builds.

    Re: Naughty Animation object

Try importing the animation into an active that should be make it behave.

Yes, I have the newest build.

It's true that the anim behaves normally if I import it as Active, but I wanted to have it as Animation for some specific reasons... In any case, let's hope this will get fixed in the next build
