    Ratio Aspect Stretching

Why does it seem like even though I'm fallowing the ratio aspect rules perfectly, my picture is still being stretched and distorted.

My game is running at a ratio aspect of 4:3. The game itself running at 640:400. Would this not mean that if I take the game and set it to Maximize, then stretch to resize. That if the game is on 1440x900, that there shouldn't be any noticeable stretch marks, specific to horizontal or vertical pixel columns.

    Because 640x400 isn't 4:3.

    Re: Ratio Aspect Stretching

Okay, I actually ment to put down 16:10, but that's besides the point. I think the point I'm trying to make is.

1440:900 is 16:10, however according to an aspect ratio calculator, so is 640:400. Why am I still getting stretch marks?

Even when I try to do an exact 2X, 720:450. I still get stretch marks. Seriously, wtf?

i only get this if the title bar and menu are visible when maximized, which makes sense because they're stealing screen space from the client area

    Re: Ratio Aspect Stretching

If you don't get this, then I don't think you're looking close enough, because for my game, I have both the tool bar and menu invisible and I still get pixels that should only be 2x2 that are 2x3 or 3x2 or the ugliest being 3x3.

It's mostly noticeable whenever you're scrolling around, because then the pixels that are double, start shifting around the game (same spot on the screen) and it basically makes the whole game look like it's on a very non-native resolution. At the very least, I'd prefer the blurring effect of changing the dang resolution!
