    Collision Detection Problems.

Because my game has a top down view but slightly slanted i want it so that when the characters FEET touch a wall both his top half and lower half stop.

I done all the events for that but he just passes through the wall.o_O

I made a colision detection object that is always set to the players feet, but it doesnt work.

I want it so that when the collision detection object collides with a backdrop the entire player stops.

How are you doing the movement of the character?

If you are controlling the character but using a collision test on the detection object to stop the player, then this would happen.

If this is what you've been doing then change it so the player controls the movement of the collision detection object and always position the character object relative to the collision object instead.
