    Download the picture to a temporary folder and then load it using either an Active object or the Active Picture object.

    a new extension would be great because I would like to show a gallery with 500 photos and 500 preview thumbs. Downloading to a folder does not make musch sence to me in todays online world.

    Grüß Gott Herbert

    It's very easy to load pictures into your CCN-Application, with the extension Vitalize! Plug-in.
    Here is an example with an Active Picture:

    Start of Frame
    -->
    Vitalize! Plug-in > Download "http://www.yourwebsite.com/image.jpg"

    Vitalize! Plug-in > Is "http://www.yourwebsite.com/image.jpg" loaded
    -->
    Active Picture > New Picture : "http://www.yourwebsite.com/image.jpg"

    Where do you think the pictures go when you browse the internet? In a temporary folder on your hard drive.

    Heh, maybe MMF just bloats your ram!
    Kidding.

    Anyway, Gustav's method works, but it doesn't for every extension... as far as I remember. But well, active picture is supported, indeed. (Gustav, you were teached this method by me, weren't you? =P)

    Re: Best way to load pic from http into MMF and vitali

    Thanks a lot for your info. I am working on innovative dynamic picture loader/modifier/saver. Pictures will be loaded into vitalize and user can modify and store to server. I know this sounds realy crazy to some of you but I can work with photos in RAM! My ccomputer has enough RAM. together with compresion I can do a lot of this visual stuff.

    In the example picture http://www.herbertlaner.com/sn/media/images/sharingImages/9.jpg you can see me together with some prominet people congratulating me at milia to an innovative project done by me with mmf in 2001. Now I still work on additional innovative projects shocking experts world wide "Photos in RAM".
