    reset animation directions

    Hi,

I am setting the animation direction of an active obj every X seconds. The problem is that after the first direction's animation has played, it sits on the last frame. So when the next animation direction is set, the animation is sitting on its last frame.

How can I reset the frame number to 0 when I change the direction so the next animation will play correctly? I tried restore and set, but I must not be using them correctly.

    Re: reset animation directions

You have more than one animation (e.g. walking, running, disapearing), right?

Otherwise, just select loop in the animations editor. It works fine when you change the animation, the frame goes to 0 and the new animation executes.

So, what exactly do you need?

Not the animations. The DIRECTIONS. I have put different animations on the directions of the "Stopped" animation.

Wow, is everyone out of town or something? ^_^' I'm still trying to figure out how to get the directions to play their animations properly. Any takers?

In the animation editor click on direction options and hit looping for each direction you want to play continously, that or just cut and paste them to new animations.

lembi2001: I tried that but I might not be using the proper syntax/order. Can anyone provide exact steps for this? I've monkeyed around with this so much that I don't know what I could be doing wrong anymore.

Dragonguy: I don't think you understand what my issue is. Sigh...

    Anim Direction File

Here you go. Just run the file and every second it will change the animation direction. The animation should look like the icon is scaling away horizontally. But the second icon just vanishes (because it is being initialized on frame 6).
