Common Dialog Box Object Issues

Are there any known bugs with the Common Dialog Box object?
When I try to envoke it with show open action sometimes it shows and sometimes it doesnt! and never twice in a row.
Also is there any way to control the position of it?...
Also when I specify the default dirctory via appdrive$+appdir$ it shows the my documents directory which is not where the .mfa resides.

I remember similar inconsistencies with the Common Dialog Box object. I don't use it for that reason. I use the File object.

I don't think you can position the file object... not sure about Common Dialog Box, either.

A bug has been fixed in this object recently, download and reinstall the bonus pack 1. Does it fix this issue?

For the other problem, try to specify a default filename (or appdrive$+appdir$+"*.*" as default filename) and no default directory (but I don't know this object so I might be wrong).

I'm also experiencing the same problems with the common dialog object. Both inside MMF and when built. I'm going back and changing all previous code to a different object because I reported this problem over a year ago .. Gona use Yves method for the file object!

Melli, did you read my answer? (this post is dated from February) I fixed a bad bug in the Common Dialog Box object, have you re-downloaded the bonus pack 1?
