It is possible that you have a modal dialog box that has somehow moved outside the visible screen. Sometimes the following works to get the window back onto the screen. If you click somewhere else on MMF and get an error "beep" this is probably the case. If it is, this procedure may save the day:

1 - MMF must be the active (foreground) application. No visible window must have focus, so you can assume the errant window outside the screen has focus.

2 - Press Alt+Space. This should activate the control box of the missing dialog box. Press M (for Move) - alas this is only the correct key for English versions of Windows.

3 - Press an arrow key. Then move the mouse. Now the errant window should be stuck to your mouse cursor. It may be distorted or minimised to almost nothing, but this will still work.

4 - Left mouse click when the window is somewhere well inside the boundaries of the screen. If necessary, resize the window the normal way.

This could bring back proper control of your application.

It may also be useful to go through the active windows by repeatedly pressing ALT+ESC.

Good luck (if it's not already too late).
