    anyone know any good tutorials for those multi segamented bosses?

    Yeah, I think he means bosses like in those arcade games like metal slug, where the bosses consist of some guns that move back and forward

    Anyway, I don't know a good tutorial for it, but I'd say that action points are useful for this, and some knowledge in sine functions.

    I've just knocked this up really quick. It's not perfect and there are far better ways to make multi sprite bosses.

    Could do with a good tutorial myself (who knows, after seeing this poor example, someone may get off their backsides and make one).

    Are you talking about sprites that have segmented limbs (like 16bit Treasure games) where the limbs act like tentacles or snakes? Or something that is just a bunch of overlapping sprites where each overlapping part is treated individually and is destroyable (like the level 3 big ship boss in Rtype)?
