Volume of a specific instance of a sample

Is this possible? I know you can set the volume of a specific sample, but is it possible to set the volume of a specific instance of the sample?

E.g.

If you play a sound at a certain volume, then play the sample again at a different volume before the original has chance to finish, does they both get given the second volume?

If so, is there a way to avoid that?

I'm pretty sure this is possible since you don't set the volume of the sample itself, but for the cahnnel it's played on... Try chosing channel manually and you should be fine!

Yeah, it's almost perfect now, but I think I may need more channels. For now I've told it to stop any samples on the current channel before it plays a new one, so they can't overlap. But if there are any extensions that play sounds on more than 32 channels, i'd like to know
