    HardWare Acceleration vs Java Runtime

Which one should I go for? Both are cool but I can't decide.

Java Runtime means my games will work on Macintosh and Linux instead of only on the Personal Computer.

Hard Ware Acceleration means my games will be less laggy.

But both have bugs when dealing with extensions.

Is it possible to have both?

Are there any other cool features I should know about?
Like ability to play my games on my explorer without vitalise perhaps or maybe advanced graphical options?

Yay both, so my games can be both not-laggy and I get more customers.

Of course not at the same time.. Java does not support hardware acceleration as far as I know...

I think he means he is reaching a larger audience with the Java runtime. But as others have pointed out, they can't be run simultaneously (without a major reworking and OpenGL). So no hardware accelerated java
