How to Open Local HTML File in MS Web Browser?

I know I found a way to do this ages ago but can't remember now. I want a html document to open in a frame that has the activex MS web browser control. I can get it to work with a hosted-on-net file but not a local one. Can anyone help please?

    Thanks in advance

Maybe the URL is wrong, if you're trying to open something like "c:\...."

Try opening IE, dragging a local file to it, and then copying the URL from the address bar and using exactly that in your application.

It should be starting with file:// ....
