    Platform direction

On zeb, the characters direction changes when he goes on a slope. How do you do this because my game looks REALY bad because it does not change direction when going onto a slope

    Re: Platform direction

You need to animate the directions in the animation editor. Then create markers on the bottom left and bottom right of the character and if the slope overlaps the markers then change it's direction.

(Note: The slopes MUST be active objects for this to work.)

The slopes doesn't have be actives. For example: if the left detector overlaps an obstacle but not the right one he is standing on a slope. This is the system Zeb uses.

    Re: Platform direction

The Zeb Platform movement is a good design I sometimes create Movements similar to it, of which may include some things such as swimming, double jump, flying, grippy, loose balance at ledges, different directions on slopes and anything else which seems cool.

I can tell you how to do all of it but some of them are hard to explain like flying for example, that requires several Counters.

Zeb uses two detectors which are below him if the one on the right isn't overlapping an obstacle backdrop while the left one is, this must meen he is on a left-up to right-down going slope.

Zeb's Platform Movement is entirely programmed into the event editor.

I'm no Lee Bamber but I am very good with Zeb Style Platform Movements.
