I just can't get this graphic right!

I am making an application in which you fly (basics) and shoot and all that, however, you are stationary on the screen and enemies come towards you, so I have tried to make an active object of wind. Just a basic white lashes coming towards you very fast. However I just can't seem to get it right! Any help? (note it should take up the whol screen but be opaque). Thanks!

Are you trying to make a "speed line" effect (like most anime use)? If you want to make horizontal lines that scroll, you can try making a long, horizontal line (active object) and add the following behavior:

Set the movement of the line to vector and set the direction to whatever suits your wind direction.

Then "Every X Seconds" you can "Create Line Object" and "Set it's Y Position to Random(480) (or whatever your screen height is). You could also fake it by making a full screen active object and animating lines in it going in the direction you need.

I did a similar thing (illusion of moving) but for space with stars flying past. You'd just need to change them to lines instead of stars.
I could upload it for you if you like.

Could you? I don't know if I will be able to convert it into opaque wind but I will try.

Ok here's the link for the starfield:

    Download Starfield

All it does is create a number of stars and random positions at the start, sets them to different speeds, and when they leave the screen they are repositioned just off the right side at a random Y with a new random speed.
Change the graphic from stars to semi-transparent lines (with a random factor built into the transparency) and you'll get an effect a little similar to what you want (if I understand what you want correctly).
