Re: a small problem with graphics

thats an AWSOME idea! coverin it up! its so simple!
i WAS just going to have it instead that he would just slide down slopes like this but that idea works much better! thanks!

but i have to ask, does this look like a game you all would play?

Re: a small problem with graphics

I'm a bit late in the game, but I can suggest a correction that doesn't include lots of foreground graphics. All you need are a couple different stopped animations (running seems to not look as strange with the "floating" effect).

If your engine knows the difference between level ground, and slopes, then it's a simple matter of having the guy match the slope in his stance. They did it in Zeb, and that's what I do

i had an idea im either gonna just hide it with backdrops, or im going to have it so that he slides down slopes whenever hes on them.

Not slide, because you might accidently go on a big slope and he would slide down the whole thing, then it will just get anoying.

    Just cover it up.

I'd agree with crossbones. When the character is stopped and standing as in your screenshot it looks worse, but I imagine you will not notice as much when running. So as suggested you could detect if standing on a slope and change to a standing frame where the legs have been drawn to look better on the slope.

p.s. i'd nudge his torso forward a few pixels to show he's putting his weight on his front leg.
