    Need help modifying Platform Engine

I downloaded this great platform engine a while back (not sure who the contributor is). I like it because it uses detectors and seems very clean (the object ball doesnt get hung up on things).
    Nice movement, nice jumping.

My problem is that I need the Object ball to interact with actives rather then backdrop objects, similar to the old metroid games where the balled up samus rolls over bricks, bricks get destroyed, etc.

Is there any way to accomplish this with this engine, or should I seek another engine elsewhere? I dont have the expertise to do this myself, and the MMFD2 platform movement just isnt clean enough for what I'm trying to do.

Can anyone help with this, modify this engine or point me in a different direction? Any help is greatly appreciated! thnx.

Here you go. I just changed all of the backdrop events to collisions with a qualifier. Now just make everything you want the player to not go through a "Good" qualifier.

Re: Need help modifying Platform Engine

Could you possibly help me with one more thing?

In the original acquisition of this engine, it came with no "top" detector. Just for the left, right and bottom of the object. I cloned the bottom detector, made it for the top and positioned it at the top of the object but I'm sure something must be done with the formula (which I tried to do but couldn't -remember, noobie here!).

Problem is, when the object Ball jumps up and collides with backdrop or active, it gets lost inside instead of bouncing from.

Could you please take another look and fix this for me???

How much do I owe you??? lol

Here you go. I changed the line that had:

    +Moved top
-Bottom detector is overlapping a barrier

    And I changed it to:

    +On loop gravity
-Top detector is overlapping a barrier

And then I set the variable to 0 instead of -14.
