Letter opened to Ives, Francois and all the developers of MMF2:

This goes directed to Ives and all the developers of the Clickteam community. The opening of the Appstore opens a unique opportunity to us of sale of our games if they could run under the platform of Iphone/Ipod Touch.

That Ives and Francois and all its equipment always have developed to best possible software for us the developers of games 2D. In the case mine I have been much successful in Venezuela with my software Umi, an edutainment software in CD-ROM and now i sell en Payloadz by download.

The question is simple is possible to develop a compiler of our games in MMF2 to take them to the Iphone? I believe that this opens a door to us to all in this community and to Clickteam to harness its software to unsuspected and very lucrative limits for them. That are dificil but I would like the opinion of all in the community on this subject.

The iphone is on the radar but first we will see Java finished out and that will open a big window for the users. Perhaps then some work will begin on the iphone but there is no time frame or promise this will happen.

Can the iphone run mobile Java applications?
If apple would allow that then you will see a method for sales much quicker.

p.s. its Yves it sounds like Ives but its spelled with a Y

Jeff thanks, that good that they have it in the radar and I imagine that the north is to finish the compilation to Java. Of all ways I reiterate to you that for us the Iphone is a great opportunity, since is like developing for a console but without the problem to have great sums of money to pay the expensive development platforms like those of Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. In addition it seems that Apple does not demand so much to publish software in its AppStore.
By the way already I publish the name of Yves, feel it, I go to me.

easily indicates to me that he intends to write Yves in the future, and not Ives.


Anyway, I do agree with the original poster. I think it would be rather nice to have Java on the iphone. But as Jeff pointed out... That wont be possible until apple opens up it's platform so people can put applications onto the iphone themselves.

Currently, the only way to do such a thing is to mod it.

He probably ran the translator over the "siento" (feel) and it translated into "feel it", where should be "I'm sorry", etc. It probably interpreted wrong the "type/write" for "publish".
