    Request] "Polygon extension" PAID

Practically what I need is a separate extension that works like the polygon tool in the Draw object
but with the following additional features:

    - Snapping with user pre-defined (runtime) matrix 2x2, 32x32 or whatever while in creating the polygon
    - Filling also with a user selected (runtime) picture file (texture)
    - I'm not sure whether there a limitation of the number of polygon points (corners) in the Draw object but at least 64 should be supported (this value should also be editable runtime).
    - the polygon needs to stay as an editable object where you can change the form (not just the size) by dragging from a corner or from one side (in the middle when dragging from a side).
    - Also a "helper object" is practically mandatory to inform the user that mouse cursor is on top of a corner (or side) and the user can drag and change a place of a corner or change the size by dragging a side.
    - Of course moving the whole object at once (e.g. from in the middle with another helper object) and rotating should be supported.
    - All of the actions the user should be able done within the object itself i.e. dragging (sides/corners/helperobjects)

If this explanation does not illustrate clearly enough what I want - please ask more details (here).

So the only thing I'm missing here is somebody to do it.

Answer preferably via personal message. Tell me what you can do, how long does it take and name your price!

If the extension/solution could be released for free to the community then that'd be awesome.

I'd be greatly happy too! It's a win-win situation, the community can use it to their advantage in their game design, and more quality extensions is good for clickteam (more extensions = happy customers) which in the end benefits all the users! With more people using the extension, it's way easier to find and fix all potential bugs as soon as possible as well. I've paid for several extensions that have been released in public, and I encourage everyone else who hire an extension developer to do so.

I agree that it is to everyone's advantage to release contracted extensions to the public, where applicable.

While that is a great benefit to professional users, many hobbyists who don't have the budget to contract specific extensions would probably appreciate access to new tools.

The benefit to the person who pays for the extension is that there could be a wider range of machines the extension is used on and bug reports can be very valuable so that updates/patches can be created more rapidly.

Yeah, I agree on this also, but I just paid for the rights to use it thus I cannot release it. This was part of the licensing terms.

Most propably you will all eventually get it (still in its early beta).

If you have rights issues then that could be restrictive but we do hope that you can work something out, perhaps.

Don't get me wrong, the sharing idea is just a suggestion

In the past, users have talked about pooling in order to pay for the creation of extensions. That didn't seem to work out too well.

However, if those who need extensions for professional/commercial projects share them with the public, then that is a sort of a pooling of resources. Several users would be contributing and benefiting by growing the resources in general. That is just an idea, but it would work well. The "tab" would shift around to whomever needs a custom extension next, so it would be a bit fairer that way.

We do try to inspire and contract important or useful extensions as much as we can here at Clickteam, but we are limited to how many we can do at a time.

Please don't get me wrong. I have no rights issues (or any other to be precise) whatsoever!
This is just how we agreed in the licensing terms. I'm personally fine with it.

Also keep in mind that for one reason or the other the developer might not be ready (at this point) to release the extension to public. So lets cut them some slack and at least give the opportunity to finalize the extension to a certain level.

Like I said earlier - I think we will all get the opportunity to enjoy this extension in the future. Of course I might be wrong, but in that case we also should respect the wishes of the original author.

I just wanted to dig out this old post to inform that you all can see the result of the extension discussed here as the Sphax VectorialShape object (naturally he already had done most of the work already by the time I was making my inquiries).

Anyway, once again everybody can appreciate his great support for this community!
