New extension request BitTorrent

Has anyone attempted or is thinking about making a BitTorrent object?

No, it is very possible with the current extensions; but a MASSIVE waist of time.

BitTorrent clients are updated all the time to fix bugs and security holes, so a developer would have to be really dedicated to it. There are already lots of good BitTorrent clients out there, so I don't see who would bother unless there was a rich benefactor wishing to fund it. And even then, if they were going to put so much effort in they might as well go the whole hog and make the whole thing in C++.
