    Two vitalize ( or on-line) problems - help plzz...

    Making a lot of progress here thanks to all your help.

    2 more problems though...

    1) Sound effects work fine but music doesn't play on the on line version of my game. How do I deal with this, or is it just not possible to incorporate my own music? Is it more likely a problem with vitalize or my web server?

    2) Internet Explorer works fine, but firefox constricts the screen in such a way that the game is not playable. Any ideas?

    Again a BIG thnx for all your help!

    For your nonplaying music do you mean MIDI or something else?

    If your calling external sound files I would look into that as to MMF there is no difference between a sound effect and a sound used as a background music. I have seen some computers that got the synth turned off thus MIDI can't be heard

    Firefox no idea.

    If you give a URL to your page maybe that would help us to see whats going on.

    Thnx Jeff,

    I incorporated some mp3 music in the only currently active game (snakes) I've uploaded so far. Sound effects work fine but not the music.
    hmmm - as I'm writing this I'm realizing that I never individually uploaded each mp3, thinking that it was all part of the ccn game file - bet thats the problem, eh?

    http://lrdesign.weebly.com/index.html is my site - very new yet....

    If your using external MP3 files I am pretty sure the problem is how your calling them as it gets a bit tricky when your making a vitalize application.

    How are you playing your MIDI file? If your using the internal sound engine you don't have to upload it.

    What I would suggest you do
    Convert your MP3 to OGG (dbpowerapp can do it) and have them internal to your game. I would also check your software synth volume in windows to make sure it not turned off (for your midi problem)

    well - just to finish off this thread.....

    I bagged the mp3s for the internet version of the game, using MIDIs instead. I believe I erred when building the ccn file, and ENSURED that all midis were included in the file where i made the build this time.

    All is working great now - except for the firefox program

    thnx again Jeff!

    I looked at your page source and I see the problem
    Near the end of the embed statement

    "WIDTH=700HEIGHT=500></EMBED>

    Put a space in that
    "WIDTH=700 HEIGHT=500></EMBED>

    Should fix it.
