Can't install livereceiver extension

I tried downloading http://www.aquadasoft.com/LiveReceiver.zip and installing the extension on a clean install of MMF2 Build R248. But when I try to open my example, MMF2 says "Cannot load extension LiveReceiver.mfx". I tried to redownload and install making sure it was placed in the correct folders. No luck. Then tried opening MMF2 and refreshing for new extensions, but with no luck. I then tried downloading and installing a couple of other extensions just to test. They all worked fine.
I tried installing Fusion Updater to see what version of LiveReceiver it would suggest (if any), but it said it couldn't connect to database.

Has anyone else experienced problems installing Live Receiver from the above link? Or does someone have a clue as to what could be wrong? I did check the naming of the extension too, it hasn't changed, so I'm really lost as to why it won't load.

I don't understand, there is not install. You copy the files in the zip file to the folders in MMF.

What I am getting is that you can not copy the files from the zip file in to your MMF directory and they never copy?

If so that does not sound like an MMF issue but rather a virus or spy-ware problem. Turn off any of this and try again to see if that helps.

That would be all we need is for some spy-ware or virus company to scan and remove products with live receiver in them.

Let me clarify. When I say install, I'm referring to the process of unzipping and copying the files to the respective folders. So Yes I'm unzipping and copying actual files.

I've had naming issues in the past with other extensions, but I've double checked the names and they are correct as well.

I don't think spyware is the problem. I just wiped the harddisk on this computer and reinstalled everything (hence reinstalling MMF2 and livereceiver).

The files are in the directory but MMF does not see them?

Not that I think this is the issue but I have to ask, are you running MMF as Admin?

I would agree that spyware or virus programs are not the issue or the file would not be in the directory.

Do you have the latest updates for MMF installed?
I am not sure if Jamie restricted it to the latest MMF version or not.

I'm on the latest stable build (248). I just tried installing the HWA beta C, but it had no effect.

I must be doing something completely wrong. Thing is I have no problems with other extensions I tried. Perhaps Jamie changed something in the July update? Are you using the July update (above link) Jeff?

Hey, I had the same exact issue once, and I solved it. Extensions were not reading, I think it occurred when I did an update. Did you recently update to build 248, and were previously using 247? Try re-installing mmf, and install build 247, copy your extensions to the correct directories, and then see if it works. If it still does not work, then update to beta 248. I had the same exact problem, and I ended up fixing. It did take some hair pulling and profanity.

I tried reinstalling MMF2 with no luck. Again, other extensions load up fine, just not LiveReceiver.

If anyone has a working LiveReceiver installed I would like to know the version? Perhaps I can ever persuade someone to upload their version for me to try?

Ok so I've taken a completely different computer now. Clean install of win XP sp2. clean install of MMF2 and updated to latest build.
Then I've installed a couple of extensions, but again LiveReceiver refuses to load.

Does anyone out there have and use LiveReceiver? I'd very much like to hear from anyone who has a working version installed!

The version I am using is working on MMF2 Dev. It is 196k. Unfortunately, the version information seems to be for Turbo Template Object, so I assume that 1.0.0.0 refers to that.

You could check to see if your version says the same thing.

In the zip file I have the .mfx says 4/25/2008 for the modified date.
