Re: How to print high quality documents

High qualiy printing would be a useful feature for any application. It is possible to print text, datagrid, etc. in high quality, but it is not possible to print a custom surface. The printer object makes a screen shot and prints a bitmap. This isn't bad at all, but another solution would be also great (because this will be quite pixelized).
I think the real solution would be Sphax's vectorial shape object if it could print the high-quality vectorial drawings.

just the are where the barcode are, i want to make them smaller so you can scan a long barcode aswell, but if i make them smaller the resolution becomes to low for the scanner to read them? that is why i need to print in a higer resolution

Can you not embed the image into a html file and then pass that file thru the print object?

The problem is when you shrink the image of the barcode, make it smaller, you're losing some of the detail. What you really need to be able to do is resample the image as it is resized, this should preserve the image quality, just making it smaller. I think the Active Picture Object can do this (one of the image objects has a resample option), that might be your best bet.

Have you got a barcode printer or is it a normal one?
Do the barcodes still scan if you resize them?

If you want to resize the image you can use the overlay object to save an area of the screen to a BMP then open with the Image manipulator object to resize and then re-save to whatever format then print the output from the MSPicture/Fax Viewer.

Why not save the document as RTF and then issue a command to open Word or perhap Internet Explorer and print from there?

You might could use OLE commands also.
