    Bandwidth Stealer

Is there a way, within MMF,to take all bandwidth and focus it on a computer, such as a laptop? My reason is I have 4 laptops,2 desktops and 5 other devices connected to the internet. This makes everything very slow sometimes. What I would like, is to have a program to leech all the bandwidth and have it all working to the computer connected to the network that has this program running. Is this possible?

You mean like a denial of service attack? If so, use the FTP/Download object to upload/download a ton of files at the same time.

If you mean prioritise all bandwidth for one device - configure your router to do just that :-)

Im shocked that you have 4 laptops and 2 desktop computers (I am making another computer soon. Do you live in or near a city? I ask this because the close to a city you are, the faster internet speeds you get. yay fast internet.

    Re: Bandwidth Stealer

You can have lots of devices connected to the internet, it all depends on what those devices are doing.

So i dont see what you are trying to make work, your internet bandwidth is a specific size, you cant leach bandwidth off your machines as thats not where the bandwidth is coming from, its coming from your line.

Now of course if all devices are downloading the same time, the only option you have got is to stop them all from doing something on the internet at the same time.

    Re: Bandwidth Stealer

What it sounds like here is that you want to take administrative control over your home network and the various machines it serves. There are several ways to do that and many programs that allow you to restrict bandwidth for the computers that access your network within your LAN.

However, this is not currently the scope or nature of what the Clickteam forums cover, nor is our software applicable at this time. I advise you to do a search on this subject on the Internet and can assure you that you will find many solutions that might apply to your situation that are both commercial and freeware.

    Closing.
