Using "Draw Object" with Active Pictures?

I was messing around with the "Draw Object" and I was wondering if there was a way to have an Active Picture or similar on top of this object, so that you could draw "essentially" on top of the active picture? I have tried using layers, and messing with the order, but when you draw, it only draws behind the "pictures."

Anyone know if this is even possible with this extension? Or have any ideas on how to accomplish this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Stephen

Change the properties from Opaque to Grab Background

Thanks for the reply, Darkwing. I will go try that now!

*Edit* Nope, it doesn't work the way I need it to. I need to be able to put an active object or Active Picture on top of the draw area and be able to "draw" over the picture. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

    Thanks.

you may have to use overlay + active overlay if you can't get that to work

Okay xyzzy, I will try that.

*Edit* This might take a sec. I'm trying to understand those extensions.

Re: Using "Draw Object" with Active Pictures?

The overlay extensions don't work at all on my computer. They crash MMF2 everytime I try to run them. Is there any other way to achieve what I need?

    Thanks for any help.

Place Active Object on another layer.
Layer 1 is for Active Picture, Layer 2 is for Draw Object.
Change Draw Object properties to Transparent.

Re: Using "Draw Object" with Active Pictures?

Thanks for the reply, Ran_TH, but I can't get that to work. The draw object still draws "behind" the active object. Could you maybe upload an example, if you got it to work?

By the way, great site! I like your exPlorer program.
