Active Picture Zoom

Is there any method to make Active Picture zoom do it slower? If I make it every 1/100 sec. add 1 to zoom it goes very fast. If it is 3/100, it flicks. Active Picture's Zoom doesn't seem to accept decimals... any ideas?

By the way, I'd like to drop one more question: Is an 500x500 pixels Active Object heavier than a 500x500 Active Picture Object?
