    Bubbles engine - Memory leak

I think I have a memory leak problem with this engine for a game I'm working on. The framerate starts at 50, but then steadily drops to around 23 for no apparent reason (there's not tons of objects onscreen, at any rate). Any idea why this is? The extensions used are Phizix, ParticleSpray, and Advanced Direction.

P.S. hope you like the bubble effect

I can't see any bubble effect on mine, while clicking the mouse or not. Possibly two different builds of one of the extensions you used.

It doesn't work in HWA, if that's what you're using

Very cool. Left clicking creates bubbles with which you can move the orange ball around the screen - Really great game possibilities here!

Yeah, I'm making it into a game. But I need to find out why the framerate gets issues. bah.

It seems like it has to do with the particle spray object... If you set the lifetime of "Bubblebeam" ID 1 to 100 -> 100 you will see that the framerate keeps a steady 50.

It might have to do with the fact that the particles never die within the extension... Still quite weird...

    Hi Raylax:

    I get the slowdown too.

I'm pretty sure it's the ParticleSpray extension that is at fault here. Try implementing your own particle system and you will surely have something that will work better.

edit: DanielRehn beat me to it!

Re: Bubbles engine - Memory leak

I think I know how to fix it now. I was destroying the bubbles created but not the particles themselves. I'm gonna try adding a limited lifetime to the particles next time I'm on my computer (using a public one atm)

EDIT: Wait, that was exactly what DanielRehn said. I missed that post x)
Anyway, IT WORKS NOW. I just put the lifetime to 300, and it's all good =D

Thanks, guys. I plan to have a beta game out by Sunday! =]
